In 2015 I’ve already been to the US for a three week Raodtrip, therefore my choice for the 2017 vacation was an easy one. From the beginning I wanted to hike more and drive less than I did in 2015, afterall you see more during hiking than driving. We already visited San Francisco, the Highway One, Los Angeles and San Diego in 2015, so I didn’t need to see those parts again. Although some parts I still want to see again, like the Highway One (we didn’t see that much in 2015, no hikes …). But I needed to see the Yosemite National Park once again, Yosemite was my favorite during the 2015 trip. We actually didn’t get to see the Tioga Pass due to snow in November (not unexpected). In the last couple of months I heard pretty much about Utah and its National Parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante NM, Capitol Reef, Arches and Canyonlands), something I needed to experience myself.<\/p>\n
Vacation idea: check.
\nVacation time: no clue! In the summer the Lake Constance is also a great area I don’t want to miss, and in Utah it’s going to be too hot (desert!). I chose three weeks of october and booked the flight in August.
\nFor my detailed planning I had to get creative: I registered for the Lake Powell Half Marathon on 21st of October, also during my vacations I have to do some sports \ud83d\ude00 This date was fixed and my planning had to revolve around that date.<\/p>\n
